Double Dragon Advance

Its the return of Billy and Jimmy Lee
Double Dragon Advance is a evolution of the original Double Dragon from the NES. Double Dragon Advance doubles the number of levels from 4 to 8, new levels include one where enemies are fought on top of a driving truck, the player must stay on while knocking enemies off. Each level has it's own set of challenges. Double Dragon Advance also introduces new enemies such as sword slashing samurais, nunchakus carrying specialists and deceptive shadow warriors who can fade into shadows and duplicate themselves. These enemies are not the same ones you've faught in other beat em ups. Some will drop sticks of dynamite, others can lock you into a combo and then there are those that can kill with a single hit. There are two single player modes, one is where you are all by yourself and the other mode called Double Dragon gives you a partner. In this mode, you can only control one character and the other will stand there idle until you switch with the Select button. It would be nice if the computer can control the other character since you will constantly switch between them not only to fight but to move them to next screen. Double Dragon Advance lacks a feature other modern beat em ups have and that is a health bar for the enemies, you might leave a weak guy alive that can cost you a life. There is nothing special to unlock, at the end of the game a code is given to unlock small extras like a option to listen to the games music. Double Dragon Advance is a challenging and fun game to play, if you're looking for a game that is quick and simple to get into, then Doube Dragon Advance may be for you.
