Mario vs Donkey Kong

What is old is new again
Inbetween the original Donkey Kong and now, Mario has learned a lot of new things and this game plays like a collaboration of all these classic games rolled up into one. Now Donkey Kong has left the jungle and is ready for more action. Mario vs Donkey Kong isn't your regular Mario platformer, the levels in the game are more like small areas. Every level is divided into two sections, the first part you must find a way to get the Key that will unlock the door and the second part Mario must find his way to the mini-mario trapped in a crystal ball. Along the way Mario must hit switches to activate, deactivate and reverse things such as walls, platforms, elevators and conveyor belts. Thats what you will be doing for the first six levels of every world. After that is the Mini-Mario stage, where the gameplay is more like Krusty's Fun House (NES). Where Mario must guide a group of mini-marios to the exit collecting letters along the way. Depending on the number of mini-marios survived will turn into health bonus points when you battle Donkey Kong right after. Even though this is more like Donkey Kong meets Super Mario Bros 2 meets a puzzle game, you can blast through the first few worlds without breaking a sweat. Every level starts out with a mini-movie showing the player a technique, there are other techniques you can learn early but eventually it won't be a secret for long as a later level will reveal it. Mario vs Donkey Kong may sound like a battle, but there isn't a battlemode for multiplayer action. If you want something different in your Mario game, this is for you. If not, there are many alternatives.
